Consultations of faction leaders regarding ways of unblocking the work of the Parliament shall continue on Wednesday.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak said this opening the working session with the Chairman of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, chairmen of regional councils, Sevastopol City Council and the Deputy Mayor-Secretary of Kyiv City Council on Tuesday.
Volodymyr Rybak informed about the course of events in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine noting that he treats with respect the stand of all political factions. He stressed that he will strictly adhere to the provisions of the Rules of Procedure. “I think we will come to mutual understanding tomorrow and I hope that the Verkhovna Rada starts its work on Thursday,” he said.
Thereat, the Chairman of the Parliament noted that deputies need to respect each other and the Verkhovna Rada as an institute of power. “Deputies have to be present in the session hall, vote and take decisions,” he said, adding that committees and commissions have to be the main platforms for discussions both in the Verkhovna Rada and in the city councils.
